Meet Illeana Ssutter

Illeana began her professional career in 1984 as a chemical engineer in Romania. After 10 years, she decided to follow a desire that was becoming more and more urgent in her life – to serve people in maintaining and regaining their health and well being.

Training first as a massage therapist and esthetician in Austria, Illeana had a successful private practice in Vienna beginning in 1996. She initially chose Shiatsu because of her deep interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine and trained for more than three years during which she gained new perspectives on life and healing.

Illeana continued to add to her knowledge by learning and practicing several different massage modalities and skin care regimens. She moved to the United States in August, 2003 and began studying Ayurvedic medicine in 2004, at first participating in various seminars and workshops held in the US and Canada.

Illeana started The Healing Temple LLC in February, 2005. In 2011, she graduated as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant from the College of Ayurveda in Australia, and in 2012 as an Ayurvedic Health Practitioner from the California College of Ayurveda.

Today, Illeana is continuing her training through the Doctor Of Ayurvedic medicine Program at the Kerala Academy of Ayurveda in Milpitas, CA and in India while working full time in private practice at The Healing Temple. She is honored to have served the communities of Frederick, MD, Vail Valley, CO and now Menlo Park, CA by offering massage therapy and Ayurvedic consultations along with specific Ayurvedic treatments. Her goal is to provide her patients with improved vitality and a strong sense of being well cared for.
